For three generations, Gramke Monument Works, Inc. has served Southern Wisconsin for over seventy years. John J. Gramke started Gramke Monuments in 1934. In 1946, his son Charles joined him in the business after serving in the Navy Air Corps. When John died in 1964, Charles and his wife, Priscilla, continued to operate the business. Their son, Craig, joined them after he graduated from high school in 1971. When Charles died in 1978, Craig took over the operation.
At Gramke Monument Works, we design and produce our memorials right in our shop, assuring the highest level of workmanship and customer service. We have over 500 monuments and markers in our display. You can select the exact stone you want us to use. Our helpful staff will assist you in selecting lettering style and a design from one of our hundreds of designs. We take pride in creating memorials that are unique and personalized. There is no extra charge for custom designs that portray special hobbies, interests or requests. We will provide you with a full-size layout of the lettering and carving for your approval before the memorial is engraved.
Our craftsmen and non-commissioned professional staff are committed to assisting you in the selection and design of a memorial that is meaningful to you and the memory of your loved one. You don't have to hope your memorial will look like the picture or sample from a catalog.
